To play crazy craft I should have more ram allocated to the launcher/game, because it lags like crazy(get it?). But any time i try to put more ram in, it changes immediatly back to 1124 MB. In the console it says: Detected free memory: 3830/8047 MB. Can anyone help?

    then im stumped
try installing optifine and closing the launcher when you see mojang pop up aswell

I think the problem is in the launcher itself so optifine is not an option... anyone else an idea?

I agree that this is a launcher problem. Any attempt to allocate more than 1124M for max memory just gets reverted back to 1124. Are you doing this on a Mac?
I've made sure i have the latest 1.8.x JDK and JRE, but it makes no difference.
If there was a file location where I could just manually set the min/max memory values I'd just do it there.

Did you un check the Let Java decide box? that's what keeps setting it to 1124 or whatever your base Max is

Also, i can get it up by using the %-box, but then the game crashes and i get this message:

New launcher made no change to this problem. Is the launcher only allowing the user to allocate from the amount of RAM that it thinks is free on the system? If so this is not how it works on Mac/Linux - usage is allocated to what is free first, but not unallocated when a process is done with it.

    My voidlauncher console shows:
    Detected Arch:
    Arch: x86_64 Is 64-bit? true
    Detected Processor Cores:
    Cores: 4
    Detected free memory:
    325/4096 MB

Before anyone goes into how I just need more memory etc.. I've been playing minecraft on this machine for over two years and I've never had a problem with manually assigning more memory via '-Xms 128M -Xmx 2048M'. I can still do so using either vanilla minecraft or the Technic launcher.

I'm attaching a screen shot that shows the value the launcher comes up with when I put 100% on both the min and max fields.

Thank you (to anyone) for any help you can provide.

GUYS, I MAY HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION. The technic launcher said what the problem was after i discovered i had the same problem there. The problem is that we have the 32-bit JAVA installed... i am now gonna try to install 64-bit and see if this works....

    Edit: Yes it indeed worked.
    small tutorial:

    Guys this is so easy.
Search up Java on your computer.
    Click on Configure Java.
    Click on the Java tab.
    Click on View.
    Type in the Runtime Parameters.
    For an example: -Xmx1g
You can change the 1 to how many gigabytes you can have.
    for me I have a 6g computer so I put 3g.
Then click Ok then Apply then Ok
Then you should be able to change the Ram in the void launcher
    1024mb=1g
Recommended, You want to put half of the ram you put into the java.
You're Welcome (I just figured this out xD)

If that didn't work try this type in an amount of ram in the thing for example 2g
type in 204 don't type in 2048 hover your mouse over home modpacks mod servers it doesn't matter either one is fine. After type in the last digit and quickly click on the icon you're hovering over. You can check it again to see if it works. It does for me. :D

That might be because the RAM card is damage you need a fresh new one from the store don't trust ebay.
